"We collect rainwater" subsidy in Łódź in 2023
The Łódź city government has announced a rainwater subsidy program called "We Collect Rainwater." This is a local subsidy for the city's residents, which is an alternative to the My Water (Moja Woda) program. The subsidy programs for the construction and installation of rainwater management systems are intended to encourage responsible water management. Poland is a country with a poor water system. It is also widely concrete overcrowding in cities, which further reduces water retention to the ground. As a result, urban heat islands are being created. Drinking water resources are gradually dwindling. And this involves imposing more fees and taxes like the rain tax. A strategy to fight the effects of drought is precisely small retention - rainwater collection. Rainwater can be used for watering the garden, washing, laundry, etc. Rainwater tanks are great for collecting it. Rainwater has a low pH, (soft water), so it is all the more suitable for contact with devices, as it does not cause boiler scale.
The next edition of the nationwide My Water grant has been announced for this year. However, it is not known when the exact date of the call for applications will be and what the rules will be for accepting them.
