HOUSEHOLD RETENTION TECHNOLOGIES - RAINWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR FREE

Household retention technologies - rainwater management system for free

The call for applications for the " Household Retention Technologies" program is open until August 19. Installation of the system is scheduled between February and August 2023. The National Center for Research and Development (NCRD) is offering an innovative rainwater management system with installation. The installation would both retain and treat rainwater. In an era of drought troubles and rising bills, rainwater and gray water recovery systems are gaining popularity. A modern retention system will reduce costs associated with tap water consumption, sewage collection, but also rain tax

The program provides an opportunity to obtain such a system completely free of charge through a competition. NCRD Director Dr. Remigiusz Kopoczek spoke on the matter, pointing to a wide range of benefits:

"Installing an innovative rainwater retention system in the provided building will radically reduce tap water and sewerage fees. In addition to domestic uses, such water can also be used for watering greenery. And during hot weather, which becomes increasingly difficult in the summer, stored rainwater will help increase the air humidity, while contributing to the well-being of household residents."

The National Research and Development Center's venture has been underway since August 2021. During this time, rainwater management systems have been developed. Thanks to them, water is treated and is suitable not only for washing, but also for drinking. This year it was decided to test the systems in practice. The installations will be installed on farms signed up for the program. More importantly, after the tests are over, it will still be possible to use them.

The devices will only go to two houses selected through a competition. We encourage you to take the option of registering your participation. Once the tests are successfully completed, it is expected that the system will be available for purchase on the market. More information and sample documents can be found here.
