The Ostrów Wielkopolski rainwater subsidy has been popular since 2020. Also this year, the next edition of the subsidy was launched. This is an alternative to the My Water priority program, which has been announced for 2023, but has not yet started accepting applications (the exact date is not known).

With the "Ostrów łapie deszcz" program we want to encourage residents to manage rainwater efficiently. Each liter of water "caught" means a lower risk of flooding and drought. It also means a reduction in the use of drinking water. The subsidy, depending on the installation, will range from PLN 500 to PLN 2,000 per installation. He also went on to mention the positive properties of rainwater - it is soft, acidic, and does not contain magnesium and calcium. Its collection is ecological and economical.

The city has earmarked as much as PLN150000 for the purpose of funding small retention. The call for applications runs until February 28. It is worth hurrying, as the program is widely known and popular. Any resident of the city, who plans to deploy rainwater tanks on his plot, can apply for funding. Beneficiaries are: individuals, housing communities, entrepreneurs, legal entities and municipal or district legal entities.

As in previous years, the subsidy covers the purchase and installation of rainwater management system components. Subsidies are excluded for renovation of existing systems, covering the cost of documentation, or installation of gutters. Ostrow residents can apply for a subsidy of:
