Lublin "Catch the Rainwater" new call for proposals in 2022

The next edition of the local "Catch the Rainwater" program of grants for small-scale retention in Lublin has started. The call for applications began on March 7, 2022. The deadline for submitting applications is April 8, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. The order of application is decisive. The city government has allocated PLN 150,000 for this purpose. Applications will be considered until the 2022 funding limit is used up. It is not worth postponing the application deadline, as the order of applications is decisive. The program is of great interest to city residents. Especially in the context of the ambiguity of the position of the National Environmental Protection and Water Management Fund on the next edition of the My Water 2022 program. The popularity of the grants is noted by the Deputy Mayor of Lublin for Investment and Development - Artur Szymczyk:

"Due to the great interest of residents, we are continuing our municipal small retention program for households this year. In the context of the observed climate change, such projects are as important as large retention tasks. We would like to remind you that our program is open to residents of Lublin, while the area covered by the investment must not be a place of business. The spectrum of possibilities for the use of subsidies is very wide, from the construction of underground and above-ground tanks, to rain gardens, ponds and absorption wells. It is also possible to upgrade an existing rainwater retention system."

The amount of the subsidy is 70% of the qualified costs incurred. However, no more than PLN 5,000 per dwelling or property. 

Tasks subject to subsidy

The subsidy is provided to cover the costs of:

  • Purchase and installation of rainwater system components for retaining and using rainfall on site;
  • Upgrading an existing rainwater system to improve its operation;

Who can apply for the grant?

The subsidy is aimed at individuals - city residents who own real estate. The exception is persons conducting business in the premises.

Application procedure 

Applications for grants can be submitted in paper form:

  • At the secretary's office of the Department of Greenery and Communal Economy of the Lublin City Hall - Tomasza Zana Street 38 (7th floor room No. 710), Lublin.
  • At the Residents' Service Offices of the Lublin City Hall (from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm) located at streets:
    -Wieniawska 14,
    -Wolska 11,
    -Filaretów 44,
    -Franciszka Kleeberga 12 A,
    -Szaserów 13-15.
