What are the rainwater pickers?

The inseparable elements of decorative tanks for rainwater are rainwater collectors. Their basic function is to direct the rainwater to the tank. Currently, the market is oversaturated with many variants of solutions for extracting rainwater from gutters and draining it to the tank using a hose. As the tank overflows with rain water, it is returned to the gutter. We can distinguish both the simplest silicone internal collectors and more complex devices equipped with filters and valves shut off the water supply.

When selecting a device, one should be guided primarily by:

•  diameter of the gutter,
•  the roof surface that the collector can handle.

Another criterion may be:

•  appearance, color and
•  the budget we have for the collector.

Silicone gutter collectors

Speedy collector

the simplest of available solutions. The silicone collector is placed inside the gutter. Due to its flexible properties, a small gutter incision is sufficient during assembly. Designed for drain gutters with a diameter of 70-110 mm. The set is equipped with a drilling rig used to make the hole. Speedy is equipped with a valve closing the water supply to the tank. Thanks to this, for the winter period we can cut off the water supply to the tank, which will protect it against possible bursting. The only downside of this solution is the lack of a filter that cleans water from impurities. The product is available in dark gray.

Easyfix collector

Another very simple solution that allows you to effectively collect rainwater. The silicone tip is placed inside the gutter making a small hole with a jigsaw attached to the set. Fits down pipes with a diameter of 80-100mm.

Easyfix Comfort collector

Easyfix Comfort collector which is equipped with a hose connecting the collector with the tank. Like the Speedy collector, unfortunately, it does not have a filter that catches dirt from the gutter.

Rainwater collectors - put on the gutters

Collector with filter

The simplest solution among gutter pickers. Effectively collects water from the roof by max. area of ​​50 m2. Equipped with a coarse filter that stops larger impurities, e.g. leaves. Suitable for downpipes with a diameter of 68-100 mm and rectangular tubes with dimensions of 60 x 60 mm. To mount the collector, cut out the gutter section (+/- 6 cm is sufficient) and then place the collector. The product is available in two colors: brown and gray.

Collector with filter and valve

An extensive version of the previous filter with a shut-off valve to drain the water, which protects the tank against winter. The pick-up collects water from roofs with an area of ​​50 m2. It is equipped with a coarse filter that stops larger impurities, e.g. leaves. Suitable for downpipes with a diameter of 68-100 mm and rectangular tubes with dimensions of 60 x 60 mm. To mount the collector, cut out the gutter section (+/- 6 cm is sufficient) and then place the collector. The product is available in two colors: gray and brown.

Collector with Inox mesh filter

Collector with Inox mesh filter is equipped with a very accurate filter with a mesh size of 0.7 x 1.7 mm. Under normal rainfall conditions, the filter brings purified rainwater to the tank with an efficiency of 85-95%. The filter mesh is pulled out for easy cleaning. After filling the tank, the filter can act as an overflow drain. The filter is designed for roof surfaces up to 70 m². Installation in downpipes with a diameter of 68 and 110 mm. The device has the ability to set the water outlet in two positions: open or closed. The product is available in two colors: gray and brown.
