Ostrów Wielkopolski continues the project to support residents who want to manage rainwater as part of a small retention. The budget allocated to the project in 2021 amounted to PLN 90 000, which is as much as PLN 20 000 more than last year. Applications could be submitted from June 11 to July 1, 2021. The financing may be applied for by natural persons, legal entities, entrepreneurs as well as housing communities in the amount of:

- PLN 500 financing for a rainwater tank with a capacity of up to 500 l,
- PLN 1 000, when the tank is over 500 l,
- PLN 2 000 for the assembly of the underground tank.

The subsidy covers the purchase and assembly costs of a small retention system. However, they do not include the development of documentation, renovation of the existing system, purchase and installation of gutters and downspouts.

To apply for a grant, an application have to be submitted to the City Hall. Document templates and instructions on how to fill them in, as well as news about the small retention financing program can be found on the website. The project enjoyed great popularity among the residents and its continuation is expected.
