DRINKING WATER STORAGE

1. A location. The place where the drinking water will be stored should be well planned. It is important that it should be a place where there is no access to sunlight and there is moderately cool.
   
   
2. A material. Tanks for food liquids from our store's offer are made of polyethylene, resistant to temperatures ranging from -20 C to + 80 C. The tanks are not subject to corrosion or oxidation processes, which perfectly affects their tightness. They are also light, easy to transport, and their installation is very simple and economical. In addition, the plastic from which they are made is 100% recyclable. Containers should be tightly closed so as not to create an unnecessary risk of getting inside any contaminants.
   
   
3. A maintenance. Unfortunately, there is no clear information on the permissible length of storage of drinking water. It's best to rely on common sense. Some sources state that the water is to be changed once every year, some - every six months, others even less frequently. One thing is for sure - too long storage may make it unfit for drinking.
   
   
4. Safety of use above all. If possible, when using potable water, boil it before consuming it. You can also disinfect such a liquid with a water treatment tablet that would effectively cleanse it of potential bacteria.
   
   
5. An alternative use. What will happen when, for example, a year has passed and we still have water in the tank? Water the garden with it, wash the floors or the car with it, use it for laundry.

It is important to develop your own drinking water storage system. We can buy an electronic measuring system that shows the consumption of the liquid to constantly monitor its condition. Another idea would be to manually mark the degree of wear with a marker.

It should also be remembered to draw water using various points of intake, including taps, to avoid direct contact with water, which would accelerate the deterioration of food liquids caused by microorganisms.
