A new call for applications under the Moja Woda 2023 program has started!
The aim of the Moja Woda program is to prevent and mitigate the effects of drought and protect water resources. The authorities emphasize that My Water is one of the ways to protect against the effects of climate change and the related threats. Collecting rainwater reduces the problem of flooding during heavy rains. In the event of heavy rainfall, the water is directed directly to the sewage system and becomes overloaded. The reason is the concrete construction of cities, which significantly reduces the retention of rainwater into the ground. Air humidity is falling and the average temperature is rising, especially in large cities. The quality of life of residents is deteriorating. Rainwater retention is particularly important in a country with poor water resources. One of them is Poland. Collecting rainwater and meltwater as part of small retention allows you to minimize the negative effects of urban development. Additionally, small retention is primarily intended to improve the microclimate and relieve the load on the water installation.
Collected rainwater has many uses. It can be used for: watering the garden, working on your farm, flushing toilets, doing laundry, washing the car, etc. Properly treated and disinfected, it is also suitable for consumption. Rainwater utilization systems are profitable from an economic point of view. They allow you to reduce the costs of sewage collection and running water fees. In addition, rainwater retention allows you to reduce the rain tax rate. Its height is closely related to the share of impervious surface in the entire surface of the property. It is even possible to be completely exempt from the rain fee.
The new call for applications will last from August 3, 2023 until June 30, 2024. The order of applications is decisive, so it is not worth delaying. Please also note that applications received before August 3 will also be considered. The program will cover everyone who applied after January 1, 2023.
The subsidy is addressed to natural persons who are owners, co-owners or perpetual usufructuaries of real estate. Properties for which a subsidy has already been granted are excluded. Moja Woda also applies to owners, co-owners and perpetual usufructuaries of real estate where construction of a single-family building is planned or has already begun. However, please remember that the buildings must be put into use before submitting the documents for subsidy payment.
