Rainwater subsidy Poznań 2022
Poznan city authorities have decided to continue the local rainwater subsidy program. The subsidy is very popular with residents. The planned call for applications starts on May 16 and runs until June 6, 2022. The order of applications decides, so it is not worth delaying. Due to high interest, the budget is quickly exhausted. This year the city plans to allocate PLN 1 million. The program encourages residents to collect rainwater every year and has been very successful. The city's mayor, Jacek Jaskowiak, expressed his opinion on the subject in the words:
"Just like last year, we support residents who want to take care of the environment. Increasing natural retention will, among other things, improve the local microclimate and relieve the overload on the water supply system. This is a necessary measure in the face of worsening climate change. I am pleased that city councilors approved the project unanimously. I am counting on equally unanimous support from the citizens of Poznań."

The amount of the subsidy is 80% of eligible costs. Housing cooperatives and communities and social housing initiatives can expect up to PLN 50 thousand. Other beneficiaries up to PLN 6 thousand.
Task subject to subsidy
The funds should be used to purchase materials and install rainwater management systems. In addition, also for the purchase of materials and upgrading of the existing rainwater system.
In practice, the subsidy is subject to, for example:
- An absorption well or trough.
Who can apply for the grant?
It is noteworthy that the subsidy covers a wide range of beneficiaries. Individuals, housing communities and cooperatives, social housing initiatives, institutions, as well as entrepreneurs can apply for the subsidy.
Application procedure
The Office of Project Coordination and Urban Revitalization will be responsible for the implementation of the future edition of the program.
