Biopreparations in the home sewage treatment plant
Each user of a home sewage treatment plant cannot forget about the specificity of its use. The proper functioning of the entire system requires biopreparations and "ecological" habits of use that do not have a negative impact on the bacterial flora.
There are many products on the market under the banner of "biopreparations". People who have contact with this type of product for the first time may be confused by the wide selection offered by producers. What should you pay attention to when choosing the right agent? First of all, the concentration of bacteria in a dose or in 1 gram of the preparation. . Some manufacturers put this information on the packaging. For example, the manufacturer declares 500 million bacteria in a dose (usually about 20 g), it is a huge amount. Biopreparations that you can find in our store contain on average about 4 billion bacteria in 1 gram! The amount of bacteria translates into the efficiency of the biopreparation, and thus the efficiency of the treatment plant. Too little of them may result in insufficiently cleaned sewage getting into the infiltration system, which in turn may clog the drainage pipes.
The appropriate quality of the biopreparations used (and the use of the tips described below) will allow you to enjoy an efficiently functioning treatment plant for many years.
Valuable advices
- Chemical preparations for cleaning the toilet, the composition of which is based on active chlorine, should be avoided, because they destroy microorganisms in the settling tank.
- Difficultly biodegradable cleaning agents that we use in the kitchen or bathroom, e.g. washing liquids, descaling agents, dishwasher tablets, stain removers, aggressive unblockers can effectively slow down the treatment plant and even cause stop its work.
- Do not pour fats from washed dishes, frying pans or fryers down the sink, because it favors the formation of a fatty surface scums, causing serious disturbances in the operation of the treatment plant, even leading to its blockage. All fats should be disposed of with the solid waste.
- Washing agents make a large burden of the sewage treatment plant,so it is recommended to do single washes successively, instead of several washes during one day. This procedure will provide the time needed for the degradation of the phosphates and detergents contained in the washing agents.
- To start up the sewage treatment plant, use a preparation with the highest concentration of bacteria, eg BioStart.
- Use environmentally friendly, chlorine-free and corrosive-free cleaning agents.
- Preparats Enzybac or Neozyme should be used once a week. Thanks to the continuous inflow of bacterial nutrient solution, the operation of the sewage treatment plant is at an optimal level.
- In the period of time when the number of household members is increasing (eg. a longer visit from family or friends), the dose of the preparation should be doubled.
- Double the dose also in the case of the use of antibiotics by household members.
- In severe frosts, biological wastewater decomposition processes slow down. This should be compensated by using an increased portion of the preparation.
- Twice a year, in spring and autumn, it is recommended to clean the drainage system with the enzymes contained in Enzymx.
- Interventionally, in the event of slow sewage collection through drainage or the presence of liquid in it, use Biomax, according to the instructions on the packaging.
