After establishing with the investor his requirements for a private fuel oil storage tank, we proposed a solution. Taking into account the parameters and design assumptions, we undertook the selection and delivery of a 5000-liter polyethylene tank for heating oil. Its task is to replenish the daily tank at a height of 12 m with the heating medium. In addition, we supplied the tank with an external filling line, as well as a thermostat belt and heating insulation. The thermostat switches on at a fixed temperature. This ensures that its optimal range is maintained. Oil is sensitive to low temperatures, as it loses its properties then. At about -10 ⁰C, paraffin is emitted, which clogs the distribution lines. This effectively prevents the boiler from functioning.

The external heating oil tank is characterized by a double-walled construction. It must meet a number of legal conditions. These include safeguards against leakage. Thanks to the double shell, the risk of leakage is minimal. The outer wall then acts as a sump trays. In addition, thermal insulation in the form of air between the walls is provided. It must also be located at an appropriate distance from the building. The external tank is treated by law as a separate installation. Private fuel storage ensures continuous operation of the installation. It also makes it possible to purchase oil at a wholesale price. This optimizes costs and reduces downtime caused by shortages.
