Ventilation is very important in sanitary installations. The air vent prevents negative pressure in the installation. The negative pressure could cause water to be sucked out of the syphons. In addition to this, an unpleasant sewer smell would then accumulate. Each sewer riser should be routed out above the roof surface at a height of 0.5 to 1 m. An exhaust air vent is installed for this purpose.
The exhaust air vent stack set consists of:
