DeepTESTER electronic auger - portable water depth tester
The electronic auger is an advanced portable depth measuring device from Novabo.
It is used to test the depth of the water table in a reservoir, e.g. at boreholes and in piezometers. A piezometer is a small diameter borehole that is drilled to check the depth of the free water table in aquifers. An auger provides information on water level movements in a reservoir, both falling and rising water tables.

The pendulum is battery-powered and its housing is made of powder-coated metal. Changing the battery is very easy thanks to the drawer, but will probably not be done often. According to the manufacturer's findings, the device works on a single battery for up to many years. In addition to this, the reel has an AUTO-OFF emergency shut-off function in case of inactivity, which protects against unplanned battery discharge.
The reel drum contains an electronic circuit that controls the operation of the unit. Manual management is possible via the
control panel, which is located on the front.
A graduated tape is rolled up on the reel and a probe is placed at the end of the reel.
Uncontrolled unwinding of the drum is limited by a brake - BRAKE.

The unit has a specially programmed UP-DOWN system, which generates an acoustic alarm (intermittent) when the probe is submerged or emerges from the water. The depth tester can be set to report when the probe touches the water or when contact is broken. The probe is made of stainless steel and has IP68 protection. This ensures that the sensitive measuring system is duly isolated from the environment and that its readings are accurate. The small diameter of the probe(14 mm) makes it possible to use the pig, even when the measuring hole is very narrow.
Bottom sensor (dT-BOTTOM) - depth measurement
The pendulum can be retrofitted with a component to detect the lowest point in the tank - the bottom sensor (dT-BOTTOM). When the sensor touches the bottom, it transmits information to the electronics of the goblet, which generates a continuous acoustic-optical signal. The sensor also gives a depth reading of the hardened bottom surface. | |
