CS-04 liquid level sensor
Tank level sensor CS-04 is an innovative product of the Polish company Aquilo. The microwave indicator is designed for rainwater or septic tanks (underground or aboveground). The device can be placed in tanks shaped like a cuboid or a sphere. Thanks to the indicator, it is possible to remotely monitor the state of liquid in the tank in an accurate, comfortable and, above all, safe manner. Thanks to the transmitter, it is not necessary to be in the tank.
The transmitter should be installed in the tank, as recommended in the instructions. It is small in size and contains a microwave sensor. For the WiFi version, the receiver must be located in the building. The receiver receives the signal from the transmitter and redirects it via the WiFi network to the cloud. The sensor in the LTE version consists of only the transmitter and transmits the signal via the LTE network to the application.

Technical data of the Aquilo liquid level sensor:
- Operating temperature of the WiFi receiver from 0 °C to 50 °C,
- Operating temperature of the transmitter from -40 °C to 60 °C,
- Maximum tank depth - 600 cm, minimum distance of the sensor from the liquid - 10 cm; the specified distances must be maintained, otherwise the readings will be incorrect,
- For the WiFi version: max. distance between the transmitter and the receiver20 m; 2 antennas are included as standard: for the receiver and the transmitter - this is sufficient to cover distances of 20 m and even up to 30 m. To increase the range between receiver and transmitter , an antenna extension must be purchased; the best result can be achieved by extending the antenna beyond the tank. The sensor is managed via the intuitive 'Aquilo' app, which is available for Android and IOS phones. It can also be used in a browser. The Basic version comes with the WiFi sensor (a premium version can be purchased). For the LTE sensor, the purchase of the Premium subscription is necessary for proper operation. Details about the app in the table below.
The app is very easy to read and has a number of advantages:
- It displays the level of fluid in the tank.
- Informs you when the battery is low.
- Provides a list of measurements taken which can be compared.
- Informs you of the approximate time the tank will be full - predicts the time of filling based on the rate of filling.
- Sends notification when the tank is full.
- Gives the option of sending a text message to the tank company to inform them that the tank needs to be emptied.
