Domestic Rainwater Systems

Complete rainwater tanks with filter, rainwater control panel and accessories for rainwater management in the home and garden

Managing rainwater for domestic purposes can result in savings of more than 50% of tap water costs. Rainwater can be used for e.g.: flushing toilets, laundry water, washing floors, watering the garden, etc. An additional benefit is the invaluable ecological effect, as water resources in Poland are currently dwindling.

The systems are based on types of rainwater tanks such as Ecoline II, BlueLine II, F-Line and Neo, which are selected according to the geological conditions found on the site. The tanks are made of polyethylene using the rotomoulding method (monolithic tanks), which guarantees tightness and provides mechanical durability. The solutions are equipped with a rainwater distribution system based on a rainwater control panel which collects rainwater from the tank and supplies it to the outlets in the house or the garden. When the rainwater is not available, the control panel switches over to tap water, ensuring a continuous water supply. To determine the capacity of the tank, the water yield from the catchment area is calculated and compared with the estimated consumption - it is recommended to use a capacity calculator. The home and garden systems offered in our shop are complete solutions from renowned foreign companies. We invite you to familiarise yourself with our products. Rainwater management systems are an increasingly desirable feature of new construction. Surveys carried out by experts show that the infrastructure for rainwater sewers is very underdeveloped, as it was mostly designed several years ago, when urban agglomerations were not experiencing a building boom. Nowadays, in development conditions, having a rainwater harvesting tank is often obligatory for obtaining an operating permit. Having a rainwater management system brings with it advantages:

  • Savings on tap water,
  • Secure water storage at times of water shortages or watering bans.
  • The ecological effect of preventing landscapes from turning into steppes,
  • Exemption from tax for rainfall and snowmelt,
  • During periods of heavy rainfall protects the investment from flooding
The offer of the Aquatechnika shop is an ideal place to buy rainwater management systems for your house and garden. FAQ

How does a system for using rainwater in the home and garden work?

The starting point is the management of rainwater from roofs. The catchment area can be supplemented by the use of hardened areas such as yards, car parks, driveways, etc. The water, flowing off the roof through a system of gutters and downpipes, is transferred via a rain filter to an underground rainwater tank. The stored rainwater is channelled via a rainwater panel to outlets such as: WC, washing machine and outside for watering the garden. If no rainwater is available, the rainwater control panel automatically switches over to tap water.

Where can the collected rainwater be used?

Home and garden systems are used in domestic buildings, but also in commercial and public facilities, such as medical facilities, hotels, SPAs and petrol stations. Water is used for laundry, flushing toilets, watering the garden, washing the car, etc.

How do I choose a home and garden rainwater utilisation system?

We offer a range of rainwater management systems for the home and garden, where water is used for flushing toilets, washing machines and watering landscaped areas. The selection of the size of the tank and the rainwater panel is a key issue in the design of the system. The tank is always selected on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the amount of rainfall, the size and type of catchment area capturing the rain, the efficiency of the filtration equipment. Tanks are designed to be able to store a supply for a certain number of days without rainfall. To determine the capacity of the tank, we use our capacity calculator, which estimates the rainwater yield received from the catchment area and compares the consumption for watering with the estimate. More information can be found in the guide.
1

How loud is the rainwater panel?

The control panel is characterised by low noise and vibration generation. These are reduced to a minimum. In addition, given the manufacturer's recommendation to install the unit in utility rooms, the noise of the control panel is further minimised and should not be persistent for users. Currently, manufacturers specify a maximum level of 55 dB.
0

Is it necessary to have a separate installation in the building?

In the case of home-garden systems, a separate water supply system using rainwater is necessary. The design of the installation must be done before the system is installed. A single installation for tap water and rainwater would result in contamination of the medium, which could be dangerous to human health.
0

Won't rainwater damage the washing machine?

Rainwater is subjected to a purification process using filters, making it free of solid impurities. Rainwater is much softer than tap water, so no scale (characteristic of hard water) will deposit in the appliances connected to the system.
0

What distance should the tank be installed from the rainwater control panel?

The tank should be installed at a maximum distance of 10 - 12 m. If the distance is greater, a booster pump should be used. This will result in suction line losses due to too great a difference in height between the bottom of the tank and the control panel and/or the distance between the tank and the control panel. The connection of a booster pump is possible with the Aquamatic Domestic C Plus control panel.
