Septic Tanks

In the septic tanks category, you will find tanks for domestic sewage, sealed plastic septic tanks, plastic (HDPE) tanks, cespool tanks, as well as accessories. We have a wide product range of capacities from 1,000 litres to as much as 75,000 litres. This allows you to customise the tank for your specific application. Other capacities are available on individual enquiry.

The tanks are made using the rotational moulding method, which ensures that they are completely sealed. The construction of such tanks is without seams and welds. As a result, the tanks have high strength and do not fail for many years. They are also resistant to aggressive wastewater and other chemicals. Polyethylene does not corrode under UV and is durable over a wide temperature range.

We offer additional equipment for the tanks: Overfill alarms with light, sound function and SMS notification option.

FAQ

Which septic tank capacity to choose?

The capacity of a septic tank is determined by the number of regular residents, who normatively use around 150 l/day of water. The size of the tank should be determined by the volume of water consumption on the farm and therefore also depends on the type of use of the property. For example, recreational plots (visited seasonally) will benefit from a tank with a smaller capacity (4-6 m3) than a single-family house (8-12 m3). Selecting the optimum septic tank capacity for the intended use pays off by reducing the frequency of emptying and therefore also reduces costs. The septic tank should also meet a number of requirements as to its location, which you can read more about here.
1

How often do you have to empty the tank?

This is dependent on the size of the septic tank and the number of inhabitants. It is generally assumed that emptying is carried out at least every 2-4 weeks. A specialised septic service should then be used.
1

Is it necessary to add biopreparations?

It is not necessary, however, their use has a positive effect on the biological processes taking place in the tank. As a result, unpleasant odours are reduced.
1

Is it possible to install sensors to indicate when it is full?

Yes, sensors are mounted at a point in the tank which corresponds to approximately 80% fullness. A signal indicating that it is full is generated sufficiently in advance for appropriate action to be taken.
1

Are the tanks leakproof?

The tanks are made using modern moulding methods and are 100 % leakproof. The polyethylene used for production, shows high resistance to adverse weather conditions, contact with chemicals and mechanical damage.
0

Can the tank be in groundwater?

In most cases, this is not possible. For difficult water and ground conditions, special flat tanks are designed, e.g.: F-line, Octagon, Neo. These enable shallow installation due to their low profile.
0

Do I have to buy an extension for the tank?

This is dependent on the depth of the tank installation. In the design phase of the installation, the depth of the tank foundation and the selection of a suitable superstructure must be taken into account. This will serve as a revision and for emptying purposes by the septic tank emptying team.
1

Does the sewage pipe freeze in winter?

No, the waste water pipe is below beneath the ground surface to reduce freezing. It is installed with a slope of a few percent so that the wastewater can drain away without difficulty.
0

Does the tank collapse when emptied?

The septic tank should be emptied periodically. When it is completely empty, there is no risk of its walls collapsing. The design of the tank is important for its form and strength. The shape and the reinforcement in the form of supports and ribs are responsible for the stiffness. The tanks pass rigorous examinations and tests.
