The Moja Woda programme , organised by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), aims to increase the retention and use of rainwater. The effect is to improve the microclimate and therefore the quality of life for residents. Small-scale retention makes it possible to reduce the effects of droughts and torrential rains. Previous calls for proposals for the My Water priority programme attracted a great deal of interest. This is why the funding pool was exhausted a few months before the planned deadline.

The call for applications for the My Water programme ended in February 2024. However, we can already be sure that not all investments will be made. Unused funds from previous editions of the programme will most likely be allocated to the next, fourth call.

Although the exact date is not yet known, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management suggests that the next call may start, for example, at the beginning of 2025. Although the information is unofficial, this is an excellent opportunity to prepare to submit an application and benefit from funding for retention facilities in the future.

Increasing rainwater retention not only protects against the effects of drought, but also saves on water consumption.
