In response to the needs of the inhabitants, the commune authorities decided to continue the program as a small retention program. Another, already fourth edition of the program "Złap Deszcz" (Catch the Rain) has started. This is a program of co-financing rainwater retention for the inhabitants of Wrocław. The new call for applications for a special-purpose subsidy from the budget of the Wrocław Commune has started on 5.04. Applications may be submitted until August 31, 2022. Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis. In the event of exhaustion of funds, the continuation of the program will depend on an additional envelope from the budget. It should be noted that the subsidy does not include design documentation, hydrogeological studies and expert opinions. Moreover, the purchase and installation of downspouts and elements of the roof structure etc. were not included in the "Catch the rain" program.

Undoubtedly, rainwater has many advantages and is an invaluable source of water in the face of climate change. In Poland, there are long periods without rain, which causes drought. There is also heavy rainfall. The subsidy encourages the construction of rainwater utilization systems in line with small retention. It is a solution that allows you to recover water and thus stop climate change.
