Aquanet in Poznań has launched an information campaign on good practices for discharging rainwater into the sewer system. The issue of proper rainwater discharge in the first place was addressed. Climate change and poor water resources in Poland affect the occurrence of unfavorable phenomena. Therefore, the topic of drought or heavy rains is taken up frequently. This requires increased awareness among the inhabitants of our country.

An improperly constructed sewer connection leads to flooding and waterlogging. The result is property damage. Correctly, rainwater should be discharged into rainwater and combined sewer systems. Rainwater should not be discharged into the sanitary system. A great solution is rainwater retention and infiltration of water into the ground. This, of course, depends on the height of the groundwater and the permeability of the soil.

In cities, a common problem is the concreting of space. Limited retention area results in overloaded sewage systems. The result is flooding, among other things. One way to reduce the problems is through small retention. Collected rainwater can be used for watering in the garden, washing the car, flushing toilets and laundry.
