Kubaton GE water transport tank

The tanks bear the Polish hygienic certificate of the PZH, which authorises them for contact with drinking water. The original document is available in the download section. Logo PZH

The GE series are tanks with increased resistance to mechanical damage - ribbed construction.
The range includes blue, white, dark green, grey, marble and black tanks. Other variants on request. GE tanks are characterised by full tightness. This is due to the tighter lid compared to other container series. The tank proves its worth as a container for transporting liquids. To avoid leakage, the tank should be filled to a level 5% below its nominal volume.

Polyethylene tanks are designed for the storage and transport of water and other chemicals (chemical resistance table). They are resistant to both low and high ambient temperatures
from -40 to +60 (+/-5)°C. It is recommended to limit exposure to the sun during storage. Heat and UV radiation adversely affect the properties of some substances. The containers do not corrode or fade under UV exposure. The containers are made by rotational moulding, so they have no seams or welds.

The containers are shaped to be easily stackable. They can be transported in any vehicle without exceeding the permitted load capacity. Their strength comes from their reinforced walls (thicker than those of normal horizontal tanks) and their shape. The tank has a low centre of gravity, which makes transport significantly safer.

The presence of condensed water in the tanks is acceptable. This is a normal occurrence.

The tank is fitted with a bottom threaded hole of 3/4 inch. The hole is closed in its original state. The standard thread is not designed for a float valve. In order to install the valve, the hole must be drilled at any other location on your own. You can drill the hole on a flat wall where its position will be optimal. The standard threads are only for the connection of a fitting or tap. The manufacturer's guarantee is still valid if the customer drills his own holes. Please refer to the instructions.
It is also possible to retrofit the tank with a sealed grommet with external threads:

  • plastic in sizes: ½", ¾", 1", 1 ¼", 1 ½ ", 2",
  • brass in sizes: ¾", 1", 1 ½ ", 2".

DRINKING WATER TANKS - INSTALLATION OF CONNECTIONS

Drinking water tanks are manufactured using rotomoulding technology, which allows the tanks to be produced as a whole, without the need to weld individual components together, which has a beneficial effect on the mechanical strength of the tank. Polyethylene tanks are lighter than their steel or resin counterparts. Tanks made of non-toxic polyethylene are ideal for storing foodstuffs as well as technical substances used in various production processes. The polyethylene material prevents the growth of algae by being impermeable to sunlight. The tank can withstand temperatures from -20 to +80 °C.

The proposed tanks are ideal for:

-storing drinking water or other food-grade liquids both indoors and outdoors,

-the construction of buffer tanks to be used in the event of pressure drops or water shortages,

-to store water for fire-fighting purposes, laundry or dishwashing,

-supplying water in the event of a shortage of water on distribution vehicles,

-collecting and using rainwater, which can be used for irrigation or toilet flushing, etc.

Installation of spigots

The polyethylene tanks have a polypropylene lid equipped with a vent with anti-fungal protection and threaded connections. Additional inlet and outlet openings can be provided on request. Here is how to properly assemble the spigots.

1) Preparation of the hole

The hole for the spigot should be drilled with a hole saw in the centre of a flat surface located at the bottom of the tank, approximately 10 cm above the bottom of the tank. The diameter of the hole should be equal to the diameter of the spigot.

2) Installing the spigot

Place a gasket on the spigot and then, from the centre of the tank, pass it through the pre-drilled hole. If there are any problems with translation, the spigot can be lightly hammered in with a rubber mallet. Place a second gasket and nut on the spigot protruding from the tank.

3) Tighten spigot

Tighten the nut all the way, e.g. with a pipe chain spanner. Then clean the tank and the spigot of any shavings that may have occurred during assembly.

All tanks have the necessary approvals and certificates to allow the tanks to come into contact with foodstuffs.
