The BioFlow Fix to septic tank is a solution that allows you to upgrade your old drainage treatment plant. Over the years, a sewage treatment plant loses capacity and stops functioning properly. The infiltration system becomes clogged. The remedy for this is the BioFlow FIX solution. It allows the old tank to be upgraded to a biological treatment plant. The infiltration system in the ground is then replaced by a modern wastewater spraying system. The effluent is sprayed onto the infiltration plot or onto plant and shrub beds. The treated wastewater is odourless and clear. It can be used as fertiliser for plants.
The result after upgrading is a fully-fledged biological wastewater treatment plant.

The BioFlow FIX kit consists of:
- An existing tank adapted to a reactor chamber with a capacity adapted to the number of users (p.e. units),
- A circular technical box fi400,
- Blower and air diffuser,
- Pump with float and fixings in the tank,
- MultiBio 2000 automatic controller,
- Sampling installation and gasket set.
Principle of operation of the BioFlow FIX sewage treatment plant
The treatment plant works as a sequential batch reactor. The principle of operation is based on several phases:
- The wastewater is fed into the reactor and is alternately aerated. This removes organic pollutants, nitrogen and phosphorus.
- The sludge then sinks to the bottom of the tank, i.e. sedimentation takes place,
- Finally, the clean wastewater is pumped away.
