FAQ

What is the largest capacity of a rainwater tank?

We have a wide range of rainwater tanks. The shop offers tanks with a capacity of up to 30 m3. It is also possible to order larger volumes on individual request.
1

Are polyethylene tanks durable?

Plastic - polyethylene - is a material that is widely used in the industry. It is characterised by its high resistance to adverse external conditions. It does not corrode or fade when exposed to UV radiation. It is also resistant to mechanical damage. This makes the tanks airtight and very durable. This guarantees many years of trouble-free operation.
0

Can the tanks be installed in drivable ground?

This is possible if a suitable retrofit for the specific tank is used. For this purpose, a concrete band should be constructed to relieve the pressure on the rainwater tank. This will reduce the pressure on the walls to acceptable values. Special covers and extensions for vehicle traffic are also dedicated to the tanks.
0

Can tanks be installed in ground water?

Yes, but only selected models of rainwater tanks. Special variants of flat tanks are dedicated to unfavourable ground-water conditions: Octagon, Neo, F-Line. Such rainwater tanks can be installed in ground water up to a set level, following the manufacturer's recommendations.
0

Can tanks be installed in low permeability soils?

This is possible with specially designed flat rainwater tanks: Octagon, Neo, F-Line. They can be placed in heavy, impermeable soils (clay, silt and clay), following the manufacturer's instructions in the manual.
0

Can a pump be put in the rainwater tank?

Yes, it is possible. When you equip a rainwater tank with a pump, you get a system for rainwater management. The shop offers ready-made sets for the use of rainwater in the garden as well as in the house and garden, with selected pumps.
1

Does the water in the rainwater tank freeze?

This depends on the type of tank. In the case of an underground rainwater tank, the water does not freeze, as it is below the frost line. Above-ground tanks, on the other hand, have to be emptied during the winter because the freezing water could make the tank damage.
0

Does the rainwater tank have to be cleaned?

It is accepted that rainwater tanks should be cleaned 1 to 2 times a year. The dirt that accumulates during operation promotes the growth of bacteria, which are dangerous to health. Over time, the tank can fill with algae and gradually become overgrown. Special chemicals are used to clean the rainwater tank and then rinsed.
1

Where to discharge the water from the emergency overflow?

The water from the emergency overflow should be infiltrated into the ground if the ground conditions allow it. In addition, the water can be discharged into a drainage ditch or other nearest watercourse.
1

Do you have to take the pump out of the rainwater tank for the winter?

The pump should be removed from the above-ground rainwater tank, as the water freezes during the winter. Servicing can then be carried out, cleaning the pump and lubricating the working parts. In the case of underground rainwater tanks, it is not necessary to remove the pump, as it is below the frost line.
1

What is the maximum depth at which rainwater tanks can be installed?

The installation depth depends on the specific model of rainwater tank, e.g. from 0.4 m - Bolt tank to 1.5 m - F-Line. The depth of the tank installation also depends on the depth of the inlet pipe. However, be sure to follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
