Heating tape for Kingspan double-wall heating oil drums

The heating tape is used as an accessory for Kingspan bunded heating oil tanks. The heating tape is a device that regulates the temperature and density of the heating oil in the tank. For tanks both stored outdoors and indoors. The tape is embedded in the liquid and its length depends on the size of the tank. It is resistant to low temperatures below 5 deg C. It is controlled by a thermostat that adjusts the heat output and protects the oil from overcooling. It is characterised by low energy consumption, which depends on the ambient temperature. In our offer it fits Kingspan tanks with capacities of 1200 l to 9000 l.

The maximum power consumption of the heating tape is 31W per running metre.

Installation of the heating tape in Kingspan bunded fuel oil tanks

Internal bunded tanks can be pre-covered with a layer of thermal insulation - 20 mm thick polyurethane foam. This reduces energy consumption and regulates the temperature in summer. Installation can only be carried out by the manufacturer or an authorised Kingspan service centre. In the event of a malfunction, only a qualified electrician can carry out the repair.

Advantages of using heating tape for heating oil tanks:

  • Protection - protects the liquid from the effects of low temperatures, which can lead to oil thickening and paraffin precipitation
  • Self-regulating (solid-state) - keeps the oil at a set temperature by heating it. Producing as much heat as the lower the oil temperature (Low temperature = high output, high temperature = low output)
  • Economical - low energy consumption
  • Fitting - compatible with TITAN, Kingspan brand tanks
