The Municipality of Zary has once again launched the 'Municipality of Zary Catches Rain' grant programme, which will enable residents to collect rainwater in 2024. The programme aims to promote the sustainable management of water resources by providing financial support for investments related to the construction of systems to retain and use rainwater.

Applications for the grant can be submitted from 6 May until 30 September 2024. It is important not to delay in preparing and submitting your application, as they will be considered in the order of receipt. In addition, grant decisions will be made until the funds allocated for this purpose in the 2024 budget of the Municipality of Zary are exhausted.

The grant covers as much as 90 per cent of the costs incurred in the implementation of the project. However, the amount of the grant cannot exceed PLN 1,000 per task. The funds will be disbursed once the investment has been completed and the costs have been properly accounted for. This is an important support that allows to significantly reduce the costs associated with the installation of rainwater systems.

The programme is addressed to natural persons who are owners of real estate or have another legal title to real estate located within the administrative borders of the Żary Municipality. It is an ideal opportunity for residents who want to contribute to the protection of water resources and reduce costs associated with watering gardens or washing cars.

The grant can be used to cover the costs associated with the purchase and installation of rainwater systems, which include underground and above-ground water tanks, containers and other elements necessary for the retention and use of rainwater. These investments must comply with the rules set out in the resolutions of the Zary Municipality Council.

A model application form and a list of required attachments are available on the website of the Public Information Bulletin of the Żary Municipality Office. It is worth taking care of the completeness and formal correctness of the documents, as the applications will be verified in this respect.

The "Gmina Żary Łapie Deszcz" programme is an excellent opportunity for residents to obtain financial support for the construction of rainwater collection and utilisation systems.
