Basic intake system for heating oil tanks

The fuel oil intake unit is designed to take oil from single-walled or double-walled tanks. Installation only in single tanks or in the first of the battery-connected tanks only in their upper part.

Used as an optional accessory for single-walled and double-walled heating oil tanks. Selectable tank capacities are 1200, 2500l, 3500l, 5000l and 9000l. The oil intake system is integrated with a maximum leakage sensor (overflow protection). The standard equipment of heating oil tanks includes two internal threaded stubs, which are used to install the basic intake system.

Use of intake system in Kingspan oil tank

The basic intake system includes a sensor for the maximum level of oil in the tank. The sensor protects against overflow of the substance. The device continuously monitors the state of the liquid in the tank. It is equipped with a transmitter, mounted on the internal tank, and a receiver, which is placed in a 230 V socket (max 200 m from the tank). The transmitter communicates with the receiver and periodically measures the level of the substance. In case of a possible leak, the device signals this by showing the current fuel oil level on the receiver's display.

Construction of a primary intake system for fuel oil

The primary intake system consists of the following components:

  • Max level sensor probe connection
  • Intake connection for one- and two-way system. Acceptable external diameters of wires fi 8,10 and 12 mm. (below photo with more detailed description)
  • Max level sensor probe with max level adjustment
  • Flexible suction line with a diameter of 10 mm
  • Quick-closing valve - immediately cuts off oil intake in emergency situations such as fire

Connections of the basic consumption system for fuel oil

We distinguish the following connections of the basic intake system:

  • Safety valve arm - quick release
  • Output to the boiler (3/8" thread adapted for pipes fi 8/10/12 mm)
  • 3/8" return connection from boiler (for two-way system)
  • 3/8" connection to the next tank (if using a tank battery)
  • Tank connection 2"
