Rewatec tanks are underground polyethylene tanks used to collect rainwater. They have a manufacturer's certificate, based on static tests, confirming durability, and are also suitable as septic tanks (resistant to aggressive sewage). All Rewatec tanks are made of ecological polyethylene (PE - MDPE). Thanks to rotational molding, or rotomoulding, it was possible to achieve unmatched strength and the highest stability of the tanks with the possibility of covering the tank with soil up to 1.5 m.
The table below presents the basic parameters of the Rewatec tanks.

* The tank should be properly covered with soil in accordance with the guidelines contained in the instructions for the tank.
** When the tanks are loaded with vehicle traffic, follow the guidelines contained in the tank manuals and properly select and construct the rising elements. For passenger vehicles, the package (RWDS0072), for trucks, according to the guidelines contained in the spacer ring manual.
Analyzing the given table, we can see that the vast majority of Rewatec reservoirs are adapted to be foundation in groundwater, with the exception of the Aquaking reservoir. In the case of the BlueLine II tank, it is possible to dig it in to 1/3 of its height in accordance with the guidelines contained in the tank manual.
The maximum ground covering depends on the specific type of tank with the use of appropriate equipment.
The main advantages of the Rewatec tanks include:
Quality
Match the rising pipe and the cover to the tank, which can be found in the accessories tab. Rising pipes are an ideal solution when it is necessary to found the tank at a greater depth. It is possible to adjust the height of the extension by pressing the rising pipe or by cutting it with a saw. Available in heights VS60 and VS20. Additionally:
- By using the DN600 spacer ring, a greater foundation depth can be achieved. Made of durable polyethylene.
- The DN600 gasket is a lip seal used between the VS20 / VS60 rising pipe and the spacer ring. It protects the rainwater tank against contamination from outside.
- Drainage gutters prevent surface water from entering the tank.
After production, each Rewatec underground reservoir is subject to intensive quality control. Additionally, tanks are subject to selective pressure control using complex and extreme loads simulating ground conditions.
Safety
The Rewatec company offers a number of security features and possibilities to improve the daily functioning of users in the form of tank covers in several variants. . The covers are intended for pedestrian traffic of max. continuous load of 150 kg, as well as road traffic (passenger cars and trucks). The exception is the Aquaking tank, which is not adapted to vehicle traffic.
- Cover TopCover (ØDN600),
- TwinCover cover without intake (ØDN600). The lid has a smaller inner lid, allowing easy and quick access to the tank.
- TwinCover cover with intake (ØDN600), equipped with rainwater intake. Perfect for garden systems, it has an integrated double brass quick coupler for water intake.
In addition, the covers provide professional protection against children. Pedestrian versions of the tank covers are equipped with two professional child locks: special (made of stainless steel) rotary mechanism, and two particularly strong safety elements that are easy and quick to install.
Certainty
Rainwater flowing from the gutter system is cleaned by filters and flows into the underground tank. We distinguish the following filters:
- The basket rainwater filter fits in underground rainwater tanks (BlueLine II i AquaKing). Designed for roof surfaces up to 350 m2. It is an inexpensive and simple rainwater filtering option, ideal for retrofitting existing tanks. 100% capacity, also suitable for ponds and drains. Because it is a fine filter (opening width 0.9 mm), it is also suitable for home systems (regular cleaning of the basket is required). Dimensions: diameter 410 mm, height 160 mm.
- Basket rainwater filter with a cutout, designed for flat F-Line tanks. Attachment lines and a hook are attached to the basket.
- The McClean filter is a self-cleaning rainwater filter for underground tanks that separates dirt particles before they even reach the tank. The filter element can be easily removed for easy cleaning or maintenance. The McClean fine filter is distinguished by its high efficiency, high degree of purification and low costs of maintenance. Dimensions: length 485 mm, width 195 mm, height 350 mm. For roof surfaces max. 200 m2.
- Underground Maxi filter. The filter basket prevents dirt particles with rainwater from entering the tank. As a result, there is clean water in the tank for use in the home and garden. The rainwater filter basket is equipped with a convenient handle to pull the basket out. It is perfect for use in gardens, ponds and drainage systems. The rainwater filter ensures thorough cleaning thanks to a 0.9 mm mesh opening and is therefore also suitable for domestic systems. It is installed directly in the ground in front of the rainwater drainage tank or system. Inflow and ouflow DN100. . The housing and cover are made of hard polyethylene PE. . There is an option to expand (with a riser pipe).
- Maxi Plus ground filter. The Maxi Plus (rainwater filter) can be easily installed in existing pipelines as the inlet and outlet are on the same level. The water is purified by the process of settling and filtering through a mesh with a mesh size of 0.5 mm. The result is clean rainwater for home and garden use. The Maxi Plus rainwater filter is recommended for roof surfaces max. up to 500 m2. The Maxi Plus filter is sold without a filtering basket, it can be purchased separately. In case of necessity for deeper foundation of the filter, Maxi and Maxi Plus filter extension pipes are available.
- Maximus 1500, 3000 and 6000 filters. Rainwater filter for commercial systems. The Maximus rainwater filter prevents dirt particles from entering the tank together with rainwater. As a result, the tank holds clean water for use in schools, gas stations, car washes, hotels, etc. The filter is designed for roofs and paved surfaces from 1500 m2 to 6000 m2 of surface.
Warranty
Due to the monolithic structure (one element, without joints and welding), all Rewatec tanks are 100% waterproof, which the manufacturer guarantees for the next 10 - 35 years. In this way, we achieve durable protection against leakage of the tank, which makes our investment safe for many years.
Saving
The cost of the installation, thanks to which we will be able to use rainwater at home and in the garden, is not the cheapest and returns on average around 10 years. Here, one should take into account investment outlays for excavation works and subsequent operation. In calculating the payback time, in addition to the savings in water savings, the reduction of costs related to waste water disposal should also be taken into account. With the rising price of water, such an investment can be more and more profitable, as well as ecological.
