Standard garden set with Octagon EcoLine rainwater tank

High-quality garden rainwater harvesting system with flat tank and automatic submersible pump

Functional description

The gutter system collects water from the roof, which is channelled through downpipes into an underground tank. Rainwater filtration is carried out using a fine mesh basket filter on the inlet pipe to the tank. Watering the garden with a garden hose is carried out by means of a submersible automatic pump that is inside the tank.

Foundation conditions for the Octagon reservoir

Cycling and pedestrian traffic over the reservoir permitted, maximum ground surface up to 1.5m. Maximum ground water level up to 1.0 m above the bottom of the reservoir.
Passenger vehicle traffic permitted 4.8 kN/wheel (minimum ground surface 0.6 m, maximum 1.5 m). Maximum ground water level up to 1.0 m above the tank bottom.
Depending on the type of load, a class B, C or D finial must be fitted to the tank. Use a relief ring, relief cone or relief plate over the tank and a matching manhole of the appropriate class.

Simple groundwater conditions (no groundwater, permeable soils)

Backfill the tank with washed gravel (8/16 mm) free of impurities. Backfill in layers of 10 cm and compact by hand.

Difficult ground conditions (presence of ground water, impermeable ground)

Backfill with 20-30 cm of lean concrete. Complete the remainder of the excavation with a layer of gravel.

Tank cover - TwinCover with intake

The tank cover has a smaller inner lid in it for easy and quick access to the water intake.

Ascending pipe VS 60

Height 635 mm, Ø 600 mm.

Gasket DN 600

Lip seal used between the VS 20 / VS 60 ascending pipe or the spacer ring. Protects the rainwater storage tank from outside contamination.

Cut-out basket filter

Recommended for roof areas of up to 350^m2. The basket is placed over the inlet pipe in the tank. Dimensions: Ø 410 mm, height 160 mm fine filter (filter mesh size 0.9 mm). Fastening ropes and a hook are included with the basket.

Pressure hose 3.5 m

A 3.5 m pressure hose used to connect the pump to the water intake, located in the tank lid.
